New Storage-Focused VAR Comes to Market With Powerful Line Card
TAMPA, April 9, 2012 – Southern Data Storage, a new Tampa-based Value Added Reseller focused on data storage, backup and disaster recovery solutions for small & medium enterprises, has announced the successful completion of the launch phase of the business. The key activity during this phase was the evaluation of more than 30 potential vendors, resulting in the selection of just six for the Southern Data Storage line card. Advice was sought from over a dozen key customer contacts regarding their specific needs, which was of great assistance in determining the appropriate products to carry.

With these six product lines, Southern Data Storage now has a full portfolio of solutions in the areas of Cloud Storage, iSCSI and Fibre Channel SAN/NAS storage, Backup, Cloud Backup, DR and Archiving.
Although Southern Data Storage is a new company, it is founded on a three-decade tradition of successful experience in the IT industry. “I’ve seen massive changes since I got into the business in 1981,” Mr. Hall says, “and that experience has been invaluable in telling the ‘contenders’ from the ‘pretenders’ in vetting our line card.
